Warranty Terms

All replacement batteries and adapters sold by GCC Laptop Battery come with a warranty against manufacturing defects. This page defines the terms, what is covered, and how to make a claim.

What is covered

  • Manufacturing defects that prevent the battery or adapter from functioning correctly.
  • Failure to hold charge from the first use (dead on arrival) β€” report within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Significant capacity loss within the warranty period that is not attributable to normal wear.
  • Adapter overheating or failure under normal operating conditions.

What is not covered

  • Normal battery capacity degradation over charge cycles.
  • Physical damage: cracks, dents, swelling from misuse, or punctures.
  • Damage from incorrect voltage or using the wrong adapter with the battery.
  • Liquid damage of any kind.
  • Damage from attempting to open, modify, or repair the product.
  • Products installed in incompatible devices (wrong model fitment).
Fitment matters for warranty. Installing a battery in the wrong laptop model β€” even if it physically fits β€” voids the warranty and can damage your device. Always confirm compatibility using our How to Find guide before ordering.

How to submit a claim

  1. Go to our Support Request form or contact us via WhatsApp or email.
  2. Provide your order number and photos of the battery/adapter label clearly showing the part number and voltage rating.
  3. Describe the issue. If intermittent, include a short video β€” this significantly speeds up assessment.
  4. Our team will review and respond within 3–5 business days.
  5. Approved claims are resolved by replacement dispatch or refund within 2 business days of approval.

Warranty period

Warranty runs from the date of purchase as shown on your invoice. Duration is stated on the product listing. If no duration is stated, standard coverage is 6 months. Retain your invoice β€” it is required for all warranty claims.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the warranty period?
Warranty duration varies by product β€” typically 6 to 12 months from the date of purchase. Check your invoice or product listing for the specific coverage period.
Does warranty cover battery capacity loss over time?
No. Battery capacity naturally decreases with charge cycles. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not normal capacity degradation from regular use.
What voids the warranty?
Physical damage, tampering, use with incompatible hardware, incorrect voltage, liquid damage, and modification of the product all void warranty eligibility.
What do I need to submit a warranty claim?
Your order number, a clear photo of the battery or adapter label showing the part number and voltage, and evidence of the issue (photo or video).
How long does a warranty claim take?
We aim to review warranty claims within 3–5 business days of receiving all required information. Replacement dispatch or refund processing follows within 2 business days of approval.
